ASSISTANT FACILITIES MANAGER - FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
GUILDFORD
What you will be doing:
An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Facilities Manager to join the team at Galliford Try within our Facilities Management Business.
Ideally, you will be based in or around the Guildford area for this role.
1. Provide administrative support to the team members using Galliford Try systems including and not limited to the Galliford Try Concept based programmes and the GT BMS.
2. Undertake the filing of Galliford Try documents both in electronic and paper format as required.
3. Provide absence cover for Assistant Facilities Manager and Project Manager.
4. Assist with Site Hazard Spotting and collation.
5. Assist with Project GT RAMS and Induction documentation.
6. Site Log Book generation and Monitoring.
7. Act as a point of contact for the project and liaise with Client Staff and Representatives as required.
8. Work collaboratively and proactively with the Client to resolve any issues and problems arising within the facilities.
9. Maintain comprehensive asset registers to ensure the project assets are identified and maintained in line with Statutory Compliance obligations.
10. Ensure standards of service delivery are monitored and responsive to Stakeholders' needs and react swiftly where there is an issue of health, safety and security.
11. Identify and implement improvements related to resources and efficiencies in service delivery.
12. Participate in all internal and external audits identified by GTFM, the Client or external parties.
13. Manage and participate in out of hours issues and emergencies as required.
14. Engender a positive attitude towards Health Safety and Environmental Management across the contract and ensure that agreed safety procedures are pursued in a way that maintains a safe environment for all Stakeholders at all times.
15. Record details of shortfalls and identify improvements and report and document any Health and Safety Environmental incidents in line with GT Policies and Procedures.
16. Carry out Health & Safety checks as required across facilities and services and assist in scheduled site inspections, ensuring that all H&S Regulations and GT Health & Safety Standards are adhered to, always recording details of shortfalls and identify possible improvements and report and document any incidents in line with GT Policies and Procedures.
17. Develop and enhance working relationships with the Surrey Police Representatives as required.
18. Ensure that GTFM specialist sub-contractors comply with the standards and performance required to deliver Services in accordance with the Operating Specification of the Contract.
19. Participate in Business Development Activities as directed by GTFM.
20. Participate in the GT Personal Development Review (PDR) process on an annual basis.
21. Participate in training identified commensurate with the GTFM Competency Matrix.
22. Engage with stakeholders regarding works and potential impact.
23. Ensure scope of works is accurate to the requirements of the client.
24. Collate, review and assess all risk assessments and method statements.
25. Review and monitor site works and challenge behaviours where necessary.
26. Ensure works are fully completed within timeframes and are signed off by the client.
27. Identify additional maintenance requirements for new assets and cost any PPM Contract variations.
28. Deputise for Project Manager and other Assistant Facilities Manager.
About You:
1. Enhanced DBS check required.
2. Experience of using Microsoft packages such as Excel and Word.
3. A full driving license is required for this role as you will attend multiple sites.
4. Previous experience working in FM/school maintenance is essential for this role.
5. Construction experience would be ideal but not essential.
