What's involved with this role: Temporary Children’s Advanced Practitioner Reference no: Leeds 0009 B854 / 1 Pay Rate: £24.08 per hour PAYE 37 Monday – Friday, 08:30 - 17:00 This opening assignment is for up to 3 months City: LEEDS Enhanced DBS disclosure required Must be office based for duty but hybrid working is negotiable depending on the needs of the team (due to the relational approach of the organisation, it is envisaged this will be office based on duty weeks and one WFH home day/compressed hours on non-duty). We are looking for an experienced social worker who is able to manage a caseload of Child and Family Assessments, Child in Need, Child Protection, Child Care Proceedings until permanence. This caseload will have a level of complexity and lead worker responsibilities working alongside other social workers, it will not have supervisory / line manager responsibilities. You should be able to practice restoratively with children and families and promote family led decisions to manage risk and meet support needs. You must demonstrate excellent relational work with children and families and be able to engage children through direct work and child centred practice. Extensive knowledge of child protection issues and best practice Extensive experience of using a wide range of social work interventions Experience of working with children and families Organisation skills and ability to meet competing demands are required to ensure practice standards, good quality and practice and performance. good analytical assessment skills and with high quality written work.
