Broadcast Technical Manager - Broadcasting
Location: Hybrid working from Holyrood, Edinburgh and from home
Leave: 41.5 days (including public holidays)
Working Pattern: Our normal working week is 37 hours, and we currently operate a wide variety of work patterns, successfully balancing lifestyle choices with business requirements. All requests for flexible working hours will be seriously considered.
Pension: Civil Service pension arrangements with an employer contribution of 28.97% of basic annual salary

The Scottish Parliament Broadcasting Office plays a critical role in Scottish democracy. We're responsible for televising, streaming, and archiving all public proceedings and events, operating and maintaining complex hybrid conferencing systems and production of a range of digital products, providing transparency and accessibility to everyone. We deliver live feeds to national and international media, as well as stream content directly to the public through scottishparliament.tv and various online channels. Beyond core parliamentary business, we also manage a variety of televised and webcast public events. This requires a creative and strategic approach to ensure compelling coverage.
As Broadcast Technical manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our broadcast systems while constantly evaluating new technologies. You'll be a key player in recommending and implementing solutions that help the Scottish Parliament achieve its ambitious digital goals.

The successful candidate will have a tried and tested background in broadcasting. Youll have the skills and experience to ensure technical operations are carried out in accordance with legislative requirements and industry best practice. Youll have good knowledge of emerging technologies and developments in digital communications. As an innovator, youll have the ability to find solutions where there is no precedent. Youll have the ability to work at a strategic level to ensure resilience of business-critical systems.
