Responsibilities:
* Provide1:1 and group support for young children with special educationalneeds helping them engage in early learningactivities.
* Assist in the development andimplementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioursupport plans.
* Work closely with families tounderstand the unique needs of each child and ensure a consistentapproach to care both at nursery and athome.
* Collaborate with teachers and externalprofessionals such as speech therapists occupational therapists andeducational psychologists to ensure comprehensive support for thechildren.
* Promote social emotional andcognitive development through tailored activities andinterventions.
* Monitor childrens progress andprovide regular updates to families and staff on key milestones andareas for further support.
* Participate intraining and professional development to stay current with bestpractices in early years SENcare.
Experience andQualifications:
* Provenexperience working with young children especially those withspecial educational needs in a nursery or early yearssetting.
* Relevant childcare qualifications suchas NVQ Level 3 in Early Years orequivalent.
* Strong understanding of early yearsframeworks child development and SEN bestpractices.
* Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationshipswith children families and staff.
* A caringpatient and adaptable approach to working with children with arange of needs.
* A DBS check isrequired.
