Job Title: Kid’s Activities Team Member
Reporting to: Duty Manager

Outline of Job:
Coordinating all children’s activities on site. Working in different locations including the woodland kiosk or indoor exhibition area, daily duties will include serving ice creams and running craft activities.
Candidates must also be prepared to dress up in the company mascot costume character; Cavog the Caveman. You will also be expected to keep the children’s activities area clean.
The candidate will have good interpersonal skills, a smart appearance, and a confident approach to dealing with the public. The role involves constant interaction with the general public and the candidate must be able to deliver consistent quality to varying numbers of visitors through the application of good preparation and planning. You will be required to wear a uniform that is provided.
Outline of Duties:
The following list is not intended to be exhaustive but gives an outline of the duties required from the role.
Activities Area:
1. Dressing up as Cavog the Caveman character.
2. Supervising children’s activity area.
3. Supervise and present to visitors Stone Age artefacts on our PaleoTable.
4. Cleaning presentation displays.
5. Support the educational term in seasonal events and activities.
Woodlands:
1. Cleaning of area.
2. Opening and closing the site.
3. Litter picking.
Kiosk Operations:
1. Preparation of cold drinks and ice creams.
2. Maintain the cleanliness of the catering areas including sweeping, mopping and emptying bins.
3. Serve customers in an efficient professional manner.
4. Operating a till and handling cash.
Marketing:
1. Assisting with advertising, leaflet distribution and marketing on and off site.
Health and Safety:
1. The company has a clear health and safety policy and this must be followed at all times. Checklists and procedures assist in the delivery of this policy and must be completed thoroughly. Full training will be given.
Other Duties:
1. The above list is not designed to be exhaustive and you may be asked to assist in other areas as required by the business and subject to the necessary training being given. We pride ourselves on the team spirit which operates not only within departments, but also between departments and a good candidate will be prepared to step in and help in any department where they can see a need.

Hours:
The role requires the candidate to be able to work daytime and evening shifts on any day of the week. Peak visitors occur at weekends and during holiday periods. Leave is not permitted over bank holiday weekends and during school holidays. Any existing holiday commitments should be noted on your application form and we will take these into consideration when determining your suitability for the role.
