Cardiothoracic / Neuro Outpatient Department Manager
Band 7, full time, 5 days per week, Monday – Friday
We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to step into the role as the Cardiothoracic/ Neurology Outpatient Department Manager. We are looking for a 1st level Registered Nurse with a real passion for Outpatients who is committed to taking this service forward for the future of our services.
The Post holder will work closely with the Matron and Service Manager ensuring that patients receive high quality care across both the Neuro and Cardio outpatient departments, providing clinical and operational leadership for the departments. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of outpatient operational performance, working alongside the clinical directors and service managers to ensure that outpatient performance targets and high quality patient care are achieved and sustained.
The Post Holder will ensure that effective staffing levels and skill mix are used to service all clinical specialties accessing the departments. Additionally, the Post holder will plan the day-to-day running of the outpatient departments, coordinating clinical services and resources to effectively manage the departments.

After you complete these six and a half days of training, you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities. We also offer a range of additional in-house and externally provided courses and bitesize programmes through our Leadership and Improvement Team.
