We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager for Cabin Systems to support REE’s rapid growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the delivery of REE truck cabin systems to meet program-specific targets including functional performance, quality, cost, and timing.
2. The truck cabin systems comprise:
1. Cabin primary structure
2. Interior trim (pillar trims, flooring, IP)
3. Exterior trim (bumpers, cladding etc.)
4. Closures (doors & lids)
5. Glazing, mechanisms, and sealing
6. Seating & restraints
3. Responsible for cabin systems development from initial concept through to Engineering Sign-Off and supporting program management gateways.
4. Set and deliver cost and weight targets for the cabin systems.
5. Ensure regulatory compliance of all cabin aggregates (seating, restraints, interior hard points).
6. Develop System Design Specifications incorporating engineering standards, test procedures, and material specifications.
7. Ensure that all products meet the specification requirements and project targets through a documented DVP.
8. Facilitate Failure Mode Avoidance activities including DFMEA, quality history reviews, and development tests.
9. Identify opportunities to reduce complexity, cost, and weight.
10. Support purchasing team in sourcing and RFQ activities.
11. Manage the cabin systems team and external suppliers, planning projects and direct reporting into the Head of Engineering Projects.
Qualifications & Requirements:
1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in product development.
2. Proven experience in developing and delivering cabin systems from concept to production within an OEM or tier one organization, able to demonstrate delivery of programs from concept to SOP.
3. Expert-level knowledge of cabin components, systems, and production methods.
4. Proficient with CATIA V6 software including part design, assembly design, and drafting.
5. Knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
6. Ability to manage workload in a demanding environment with potential for changing priorities.
7. Working experience with Microsoft Office products including SharePoint, Excel, and Word.
8. Excellent communication skills demonstrated; ability to communicate at all levels.
9. Team player with the ability to work alongside talented colleagues as part of a driven and dedicated team.
