Here at ISS as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to expand their site engineering team dedicated against our client's key, critical Data Centre facility in Gloucester.
Our client are in retail and corporate banking, and this Data Centre is a Mission Critical facility, key to fundamental business operations. It is their most important UK and Global facility and so the engineering service needs to be of a very high level
The site consists of 3 Data Halls, and happens to be going through a period of change, with some area closures but also massive M&E project upgrades, meaning this is an exciting time to join the operation
The Engineering service is delivered via a Team of 16 Shift Engineers, managed by an Engineering Manager who reports into this role (The Senior Manager) plus some specialist technical support. There is also a small soft services team you will be responsible for, giving you approx 23 members of staff in the operations
As the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for the complete service delivery, taking into account of Health & Safety, technical compliance, finance and operational matters into your efforts.
You will also be responsible for maintaining a smooth and effective client relationship
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident Technical Leader, well versed in Critical Environments, either at, or ready to progress into a Senior Leadership position,
Actions will include:
* Provision of technical and operational leadership to Data Centre team, including engineering, building fabric, cleaning, catering, and landscaping services
* Representing the client Corporate Real Estate Services with responsibility at site level ensuring all Critical Service processes are implemented meeting client requirements and / or appropriate Service Level Agreements (SLA).
* Ensure effective service delivery by employer of all planned and reactive maintenance activity to ensure company and our key suppliers to meet all contract KPIs and SLAs.
* Ensure personal development and succession plans are in place to provide a culture of continuous improvement and team development.
* Responsible for reactive engineering spend within Data Centre Operation, working with the UK Critical Engineering Lead to align with budget expectations.
* Support the supply chain review process within designated region and contribute to UK Wide Engineering Supply Chain strategy.
* Lead the onsite implementation of the Optima Critical Governance Manual within all aspects of Operations including providing technical support to the production and implementation of CEOP, EOP, SOP, SMP and Scenario Training
* Drive standards and implementation of best practice while adhering to employer & Contractual Governance through combination of site and desktop-based review with a Find & Fix mentality. Build and maintain relationships with Key Vendors and providing a single point of contact for escalation.
* Support development of enhanced self-delivery strategies within the site engineering team.
* Provide support and direction to the site operations team in effective resolution of engineering related risks items, including ensuring timely completion on client risk register.
* Support the development of Capex plans for Data Centre in line with CRES and company requirements.
We need from you:
* Clear experience in a Critical Environment, whether that be Data Centres, Hospitals, MoD sites
* M&E background
* Current HV AP, or prior appointment
