Do you have experience of delivering and analysing business change? Could you work effectively with others to help deliver our new 10-year estate strategy?
About the role
We are recruiting for a Strategy Delivery Manager to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week, on a fixed-term contract until April 2026. This role can be based at any of the following SMG sites (with hybrid working available): National Railway Museum in York, Science and Industry Museum in Manchester, National Science and Media Museum in Bradford, Science Museum in London or the Science and Innovation Park in Wroughton, Swindon.
As Strategy Delivery Manager, you will make a substantial contribution towards delivering the new estate strategy by creating and maintaining action plans and timetables that support the implementation. You will monitor activity status, produce trackers, check progress, report and escalate on all aspects of the estate strategy and the work of the department as appropriate.
You will be a key point of contact and will liaise closely with team members and action owners to ensure work is being undertaken and progress tracked. You will also work with other departments to help integrate the estate strategy with their work and priorities, whilst promoting the work of the strategy so that the estate department and its work are well understood by others.
You will create and implement standardised procedures within a ‘playbook’ that will streamline operations and drive consistency across all our estate activities. You will lead improvement initiatives and train others on process improvements with the goal of increasing the impact of the department and enhancing its effectiveness.
About you
Joining us, you will have demonstrable experience of delivering business change, preferably within large, complex organisations or public bodies. You will be able to work well, lead and communicate effectively with others, with the ability to influence stakeholders, subject specialists, and external consultants or contractors. You will have good organisational skills and be capable of managing a programme of planned, coordinated activities to deadlines.
Crucially, you will have experience of capturing and analysing performance data and using this to inform decision-making and validate the results of change, in addition to experience of developing performance metrics, KPIs, and SLAs.
