Job Description:
An outstanding job opportunity has arisen for a committed Senior Occupational Therapist to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in the Cardiff area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.
This hospital specializes in low secure mental illness and personality disorder services for males and females requiring medium-term placement and recovery-oriented treatment to progress towards rehabilitation.
To be considered for this position, you must be qualified as an Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the lead OT in coordinating the implementation of individual treatment plans for occupational therapy services, ensuring treatments, activities, and interventions are delivered effectively.
* Responding promptly to referrals, conducting patient assessments to identify needs, and planning relevant interventions on an individual or group basis. Maintaining accurate records of patient progress.
* Leading in specific areas with some responsibility for service and team performance; supervising staff and students; engaging in self-development.
* Managing junior staff effectively and efficiently.
* Serving as a knowledge resource regarding Occupational Therapy Services to colleagues, relatives, and external professionals.
* Supporting the lead OT as an expert resource, providing specialist advice to the team and external agencies.
Preferred skills and experience:
* Understanding the therapy pathway supporting the patient journey from admission to discharge.
* Adapting to changing patient needs while establishing stability through purposeful activities.
* Driving continuous improvement and communicating evidence-based needs for change.
Salary and benefits:
The successful candidate will receive a salary of £35,392 per annum, working full-time (37.5 hours/week). Benefits include:
