Ivy Resource Group are currently looking to hire a CAD Technician to join one our clients on a permanent basis in Bradford-on-Avon. The company: Our client is an established regional housing developer, with a strong track record of building high specification, luxury homes in Wiltshire and the surrounding counties. They are recognised as the regions premium developer and has a significant portfolio of upcoming exciting and bespoke projects to work on. They are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and passionate about producing quality work. Working from their purpose built state of the art office in Bradford on Avon, with unrivalled facilities including on site parking, gym including changing room and shower facilities and only a short walk into the centre of town. The role entails: Helping to produce detailed drawings for construction issue Helping to produce building regulation packs, submission and monitoring Conversion of external architect's drawings to our CAD standards, to ensure our specific details are consistent and certain information is included. Liaising with external consultants and civil and structural engineers. Liaising with material suppliers to ensure key material components work with design and specification Amending and updating drawings to "as-built" issue. Producing and maintaining a drawing register of all drawings produced. Production of marketing plans Production of floor area summary spreadsheets, to be used for sales specifications. Production of door and window schedules into MS Excel from drawings. Essential requirements: Knowledge of current building regulations. Knowledge of NHBC/LABC standards. Experience of residential new build projects. Experience of planning submissions. Knowledge of measured surveys. Proficiency in AutoCAD LT. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Good communication skills. Ability to work on own initiative. Preferred requirements: Knowledge preferred of listed buildings projects. Knowledge preferred of renovation projects. Knowledge preferred of commercial projects.
