SEND Teaching Assistant Pay: £444-£455 per week Location: Oldbury Start Date: May 2025 ABC Teachers is seeking a compassionate and committed Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEND school in Oldbury. This full-time role begins in May 2025 and could lead to a long-term position for the right candidate. Your Role: Support the educational, social, and emotional development of students. Work closely with teachers to deliver an engaging and inclusive curriculum. Provide one-to-one and small group support for students aged 11-19. About the School: Specialises in complex and profound SEND, offering tailored support for every student. Creates a positive, secure, and stimulating learning environment. Well-connected and easily accessible from West Brom, Dudley, and Smethwick. What We’re Looking For: A Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Childcare qualification (desirable but not essential). Previous experience working with children and young people with additional needs. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students. Ability to provide suitable references and pass a DBS check. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
