An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Credit Risk Analyst to join a leading global financial services group. The successful candidate will be part of a team that provides a firm-wide capital management framework, ensuring transparency and effectively managing market, credit, liquidity, concentration, and tail risk within the risk appetite of the firm.
What you'll do:
As a Credit Risk Analyst, your role will be pivotal in managing the coverage of a portfolio of Financial Institution counterparties. You will be responsible for new client approvals, including setting credit appetite, limits, and rating. Your role will also involve performing due diligence calls/visits, drafting/negotiating credit terms for legal documentation. You will also be tasked with analysing and interpreting stress testing results and taking actions as appropriate at counterparty, country, and/or industry level.
* Perform Credit Risk Analysis across Banks, Brokers, Insurers, and other Financial Institutions
* Implement and manage credit limits in accordance with risk appetite
* Analyse economic, market, regulatory, industry events/developments and assess their impact on the portfolio
* Manage counterparty risk exposure, including transaction assessment and trade approval with a focus on Derivative and Securities Financing products
* Ensure adherence to Credit Risk limits, escalating breaches to relevant senior risk management when necessary
* Identify, monitor and escalate trade settlement fails and recommend appropriate risk management actions
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Credit Risk Analyst position will bring proven experience in Credit Risk covering Banks, Brokers, Insurers, and other Financial Institutions. You should have strong familiarity with financial statement analysis and credit risk metrics. A sound understanding of OTC and SFT derivative products is essential for this role. Prior experience in dealing with Front Office stakeholders would be beneficial. The ability to work without supervision while managing multiple stakeholder expectations is crucial.
* Proven experience in Credit Risk covering Banks, Brokers, Insurers, and other Financial Institutions
* Strong familiarity with financial statement analysis and credit risk metrics
* Sound understanding of OTC and SFT derivative products
* Understanding of legal documentation (ISDA /CSA, GMRA, GMSLA)
* Prior experience in dealing with Front Office stakeholders
* Ability to work without supervision and manage multiple stakeholder expectations
