Job summary We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic team of radiologists to help deliver a world class service and support our registrar training programme. The post holder will work with the existing departmental consultants and should be able to demonstrate excellent specialist gynaecological imaging skills, in addition to strong general radiology abilities. The clinical duties of the post will include supporting all aspects of the RFL gynaecological imaging service as well as contributing to the general workload of the department. The role will include working in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the services in line with performance KPIs and clinical outcome metrics. The job requires the post holder to be able to work under pressure and to be flexible and adaptive to the needs of the patient and the service. A sub-speciality interest in Gynaecological Imaging is essential. A second sub-speciality interest will be supported if service allows. Main duties of the job A subspecialty interest in Gynaecological imaging is essential. Competently interpret and report Gynaecological imaging independently. Prior experience of leading and presenting at Gynae/Oncology MDTs independently Competance in Gynae USS to support our large sonography service Experience in supervising junior trainees The post-holder will be expected to take part in appropriate accreditation activities including External Quality Assurance Schemes and also participate in Continuing Professional Development (C.P.D.) activities. The Trust will ensure that time and support are available to allow every consultant to comply with the Royal College of Radiologists annual requirements for C.P.D. Support infection prevention & control and antimicrobial stewardship activities. Participate in the supervision and training of specialty trainees and teaching of other junior trainees, medical students and hospital staff as appropriate. Participate in the undergraduate teaching programme. Participate in clinical audit. Participate (where appropriate) in service development and policy review. Participate in CPD and quality assurance activity including annual appraisal and revalidation.
