An opportunity to join an exciting organisation as a Fitter.
The purpose of the role is to work as part of the production/project team, assisting stores and project team with the receipt and processing of parts delivered goods and their data & documentation for the build areas. The role can also include kitting and packing parts to assist projects, as well as housekeeping around the general assembly area. You will raise and communicate any part issues with the Team Leader, QCM, or Project Managers, and communicate with all staff, contractors, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assembly Documentation / Parts: Ensure that all assembly paperwork (BOMs / Drawings) are available prior to carrying out the build and that the correct parts are selected.
2. Product Assembly: Carry out the assembly or disassembly of all product requirements as allocated, in-line with the specifications & timescales issued.
3. Finished Product Conformity: Carry out final testing of assembled product prior to release for Final Acceptance Testing.
4. Concerns Management: Ensure that all product / process issues are raised, assist with investigation and implementation of suitable containment action, and where applicable work with other staff to implement corrective action.
5. Assembly Tooling: Ensure assembly tooling remains fit for purpose, reporting any defects to Team Lead/QCM. Assist with the calibration system when required.
6. Health & Safety: Ensure company health & safety requirements are followed and that assembly work areas remain safe & tidy. Assist with the correct segregation, handling, & disposal of waste material.
7. Other: Assist with product / part inspections and stores duties if required. Assist with other reasonable business requirements when needed and/or requested.
Qualifications:
1. Ability to read and understand technical drawings, documentation, work orders, quality specifications, and process guidelines.
2. Ability to read detailed drawings and assemble to the specifications detailed.
3. Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical & functional build failures.
4. Practical knowledge of product and its operating functions.
Eligible applicants must be willing to work 45 hours per week for circa 18 months (standard contract 35 hours per week: Mon - Thurs 07.00hrs - 17.00hrs, Friday 07.00hrs - 14.30hrs).
A competitive remuneration package is offered, including an annual salary of £32,000pa based on a 35-hour salaried role, plus must be willing to work an additional 10 hours overtime paid at time & half per week.
