We provide specialist, reliable, sustainable and creative advice for asset management planning and implementation in the UK. Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a terrific opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Lower Thames Crossing project.
What you'll be doing
As a Project Manager, you will take overall accountability for successful project delivery and for determining the most appropriate means of satisfying customer/project requirements:
* Prepare both internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders
* Initiate good scope/information/configuration management principles
* Support Accident/Incident Investigations
* Produce plans for the team to achieve goals/aspirations
* Ensure all work is undertaken with a view towards handover and certification
* Accountable for KPI's in line with project objectives and monitor performance
* Lead working groups and work with OLT on focused improvement areas
* Ensure team adopt productivity and project controls techniques
* Able to identify elements for cost recovery from others
* Lead effective reporting routines including escalation as required
Who we're looking for
The following qualities/experience are essential:
* Able to demonstrate a track record of project delivery
* Good understanding of the standard forms of contracts
* Proficient in commercial/project management communications
* Experience in implementing safe systems of work
* Effective verbal and written communication with all levels of the organisation
* Able to undertake work in high pressure situations
* Good knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and key metrics
* Record of a solution-based approach to problem solving
* Ability to see the business vision and inspire it amongst the team
