We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Personal Assistant (PA) to provide efficient and comprehensive support to our Deputy Medical Directors and senior managers within the Care Quality Directorate. This dynamic role requires exceptional organisational skills, proactive planning, and the ability to manage a varied workload while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and professionalism.

Main Duties of the Job
The role involves providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Deputy Medical Directors and their teams. This includes efficiently managing correspondence and communications, assessing and prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines, and autonomously responding to emails and telephone inquiries using sound judgment and initiative.
You will act as a key liaison, handling complex, sensitive, and sometimes contentious information with tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality. The role also requires managing communications effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, utilizing negotiation and persuasion skills as needed, while ensuring all duties are performed efficiently and to a high standard.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* GCSE Maths and English (4-9) or equivalent
* NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification or experience (or at least minimum of Level 3)
* RSA Typing/word processing Level 3 qualification or experience
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Experience
* Minimum 2 years administration experience in the last 5 years
* Experience of working with staff at all levels
* Diary management experience
* Preparation for meetings and minute taking
* Understanding the importance of maintaining confidentiality
* Previous experience of working in the NHS
* Experience of managing staff
Skills
* Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
