We are looking for an experienced administration lead who would be responsible for the effective and smooth running of our administrative functions without compromising patient care. The successful candidate should be hardworking and able to work under pressure, with strong organisational skills, and be able to manage a small team. Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the efficient management and direction of the administration team, ensuring all administrative duties are performed effectively and to the required standard, meeting the objectives of the practice.
To support the management team in promoting quality and continuous improvement, confidentiality, collaborative working, service delivery, learning and development, and carry out other duties as directed by the Practice Manager and Partners.

Whiteparish Surgery is a rural dispensing practice with 7,200 patients and 30 members of staff set in the picturesque village of Whiteparish. We are passionate about providing the best service we can to our patients.
Job responsibilities
1. To ensure that key targets are achieved by all members of the admin team.
2. To work as part of the admin team and be responsible for the day-to-day management of the admin staff.
3. To work with the practice manager on the production of performance and quality standards within the administrative team.
4. To oversee all administrative functions including but not exclusively: child immunisation targets; referrals; cytology; Links; online applications; recall and annual review programmes; coding; summarizing; tasks; non-NHS work; movement of records; answering queries.
5. To work with and lead the team through future development of admin processes.
Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of working in an office environment.
* Experience of Primary Care from an operational and administrative perspective.
* A developed understanding of customer care.
* An understanding and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality.
* Experience of SystmOne clinical system.
* Experience of supervising other staff.
* A knowledge of HR legislation.
Qualifications
* Numeracy and literacy skills to GCSE Level C or above (equivalents accepted).

* Demonstrable excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
