Position: Youth Support Worker - SEMH Students
Location: Bolton Area
Start Date: Trial day for September Start
Pay: From £96 per day and up based on experience!
Spencer Clarke Group is working with a SEMH school committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs. This school is focused on empowering students to achieve their academic and personal goals, fostering a culture of inclusivity and growth.
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Worker to join the team. As a key member of the support staff, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance to students with SEMH, ensuring they have the necessary support to thrive academically and socially within the college setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with teaching staff to implement individualised learning plans and provide targeted support to students with SEMH
* Offer one-to-one or group assistance to students, adapting teaching materials and methods to accommodate diverse learning needs.
* Work closely with teaching and specialist staff, including speech therapists and occupational therapists, to create a cohesive support network for students.
* Monitor and document the progress of students with SEMH, providing regular feedback to teaching staff and parents.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social and emotional well-being of students.
* Implement behaviour management strategies to ensure a safe and supportive college atmosphere.
Requirements:
* Relevant qualification in Learning Support or a related field.
* Experience working with students with SEND/SEMH in an educational setting, preferably within a college environment.
* Understanding of various SEND/SEMH conditions and effective strategies to support individual needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting students with SEND/SEMH
* Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
* Passion for working with children and making a positive impact.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available later.
