GPW Recruitment are partnering with Ford Halewood Transmissions Ltd (FHTL) in Halewood, Ford is investing £230m into the Halewood site to produce electric power units, it’s the first site to manufacture EV components in Europe. Ford Halewood Transmissions Limited (FHTL) are seeking an Electrician to carry out electrical installations and repairs on the plant infrastructure, including the plant comfort cooling systems. Expectation is that the successful candidate completes the mandatory training on the F-Gas regulations. Salary Details within FHTL Basic annual salary £45,230. Pa basic Annual Salaries within FHTL are all inclusive of 35% premium on all allocated holidays; 33 days holidays per year; 25 vacation & 8 bank holidays) Shift Pattern Information FHTL operates across various shift patterns which employees may be assigned to work which is aligned with production requirements on the assigned working area. Current shift patterns FHTL operate on are: day shift, 3-shift, 2-shift, 6DC & 7DC patterns. All shifts apart from day shift incur a shift premium on all hours worked. An example of potential earnings when working across a 3-shift pattern can be up to £57,668 per year. Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to): • Carry out various electrical installations using conduit, tray work, armoured cables and trunking. • Connect and disconnect tap off boxes. • Assist with machine moves and installs. • Repair and maintain both internal and external lighting. • React to both planned and unplanned green gate actions. • Service and repair comfort cooling systems. • Maintain plant chillers and compressors. • Be familiar with working on pneumatic and water lines. • Maintain and repair the plant AHU system. • Run and maintain the plant effluent process as and when required. • Identify and carry out plant improvement actions to improve plant performance. • Plan and carry out preventive maintenance actions on plant equipment. • Collate data from the preventive maintenance actions and analyse information so as to plan required item replacement and overhaul. • Overhaul machine parts wherever possible to avoid need to buy new. • Schedule maintenance improvements and 5 why generation – continuous improvements. • Kaizen activities; safety, environment, cost reductions. The candidate will be required to complete training in the following: • F-Gas regulations • MEWP training • Confined Spaces training Work Pattern Shift: Day Shift or 3-Shift Working days are Monday – Friday (weekend work & overtime subject to business needs) The plant currently operates days and a 3-shift pattern explained below. Working Hours (day shift) Monday – Thursday 7am – 15.30pm Fridays 7am – 12.30pm OR 3-shift: Earlies Monday: 6.30am- 3pm Tuesday – Thursday: 7am – 3pm Friday: 7am – 12pm Lates Monday – Thursday: 3pm – 11pm Friday: 12pm-5.30pm Nights Monday – Thursday: 11pm – 7am Friday: 5.30pm – 11pm Shift patterns can be changed based on business requirements. When working 3-shift pattern employees incur a premium for all shifts worked of 27.5% – this premium does not apply to day shift workers.
