We are looking for a dynamic and flexible Domestic Service Assistant to join the facilities team at Felixstowe Hospital.
Working Hours:
1. 13 hours per week - (Week 1 - Thursday, Friday, 7am to 1pm) (Week 2 - Tuesday, 7am to 1pm, Saturday and Sunday, 6am to 10am)
2. 22 hours per week - (Week 1 - Tuesday to Thursday, Saturday and Sunday) (Week 2 - Monday, Tuesday and Friday 8am to 2pm)
The role will involve cleaning clinic rooms and communal areas within the clinic. Cleaning tasks will include dusting, mopping, hoovering, etc. You will be required to follow standard processes and procedures as outlined by the trust.
Full training and uniform are provided.
ESNEFT is undergoing a transitional phase which may result in the outsourcing of Soft FM services to another provider from April 2025. Successful candidates will commence on ESNEFT terms and conditions before transferring employment to the new employer. Terms and conditions will largely remain unchanged upon employment transfer.
Responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring all areas are cleaned to the agreed standards and working within the guidelines of COSHH.
2. Maintaining cleanliness standards that meet the national specification of cleaning set out in the 2007 guidelines.
3. Maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment to support day-to-day operations for patients, Trust staff, visitors, and contractors.
4. Adhering to Trust policies and procedures, especially infection control.
Everyday tasks will include:
1. Planning and organizing your day, checking cleaning schedules and tasks to be completed.
2. General cleaning: Dusting, hoovering, mopping, replenishing stock, changing bin bags, removing rubbish, cleaning and polishing internal glass, check cleans, changing curtains, tidying up, completing paperwork, completing discharge and infectious cleans, etc.
3. Using scrubbing machines for hard floor areas of different finishes.
4. Using carpet cleaning for soft floor areas.
