Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener (LBS-003) who has a passion for cultivating and maintaining beautiful landscapes. In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep of various gardens and green spaces in our facilities, ensuring they are healthy, vibrant, and well-maintained throughout the year. The ideal candidate will possess a keen understanding of horticultural principles, plant biology, and landscape management. You will work with a variety of plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees, applying your knowledge to create aesthetically pleasing environments while also emphasizing functionality and ecological sustainability. Your daily tasks will include planting, pruning, fertilizing, and watering, as well as diagnosing plant diseases and pests. You will also collaborate with other team members to design new garden projects and contribute ideas to enhance our landscaping initiatives. An analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills are key in this role, as you'll assess environmental conditions and make strategic decisions regarding plant care. Responsibilities
Maintain and care for all garden areas, including flower beds, shrubs, trees, and lawns.
Plant, cultivate, and propagate a variety of plants, flowers, and vegetables according to seasonal schedules.
Prune and trim plants and trees to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides as necessary while adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
Monitor soil conditions and water needs, applying irrigation as needed to ensure optimal plant health.
Design and implement new landscaping projects, including the selection of plants and layout planning.
Maintain tools and equipment in safe and functional condition, ensuring regular servicing and cleanliness.
Requirements
Proven experience as a gardener or in a similar horticultural role.
Knowledge of horticultural practices, plant biology, and pest management techniques.
Ability to identify and diagnose plant diseases and pests.
Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in garden maintenance.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Valid driver's license and the ability to operate gardening equipment safely.
