Job Advert There are 2 permanent posts. One 37 hours per week and the other 18.5 hours per week. We are looking to recruit a friendly, motivated, enthusiastic Facilities Assistant who enjoys paying attention to detail and taking pride in their area of work to join Invest Falkirk working within the Premises team at a specified Falkirk Council building but working across a range of locations. You will carry out basic maintenance work within the building(s) and grounds, carry out routine tests of the fire alarm and water systems, liaise with in-house repairs and maintenance teams and external contractors. You will support the Premises Manager in operational matters and be responsible for the safe operation and security of designated Falkirk Council buildings. The role involves shift working and weekend working as required. You will also be required to participate in a standby rota for call-out to Council buildings out-of-hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays. The applicant must hold a full, clean driving licence and have general building maintenance /handyperson/DIY skills, with a working knowledge of basic health and safety procedures. Basic IT literacy and skills would be beneficial but in-house training will also be provided. You will be required to undertake First Aid and IOSH basic Health &; Safety training.
