Job title: Onsite IT Support Engineer
Location: Manchester

The Role:
This role is critical to the successful operations of the business, ensuring the business remains operational. Supporting our Service Desk and escalation teams, this role provides desk side IT support resolving technical incidents. The role also provides the day to day IT administration to ensure the smooth delivery of IT operations across the two Manchester based sites.
The IT Site Support will collaborate closely with various IT teams, service partners and key stakeholders to achieve and maintain high standards of operational excellence.
The role will take an active role in developing operational improvements to business operations. In addition, the role will provide technical support for events either held on a PZC location or remotely over MS Teams.
This role is to be 5 days a week onsite.
Technical Support:
* Provide advanced technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
* Support our managed service providers to ensure we deliver an outstanding user experience.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
* Assist end-users with IT-related queries and provide training on IT systems and applications.
Joiner/Mover/Leaver:
* Ensure that the Joiner, Mover, Leaver process is followed so that new joiners have an outstanding experience on their first day and that leavers are managed appropriately.
IT Infrastructure Management:
* Proactively identify and implement improvements in the IT infrastructure with a focus on driving down cost, improving user experience and delivering operational efficiencies.
* Provide effective management of the mobile phone and desk telephone estate.
Incident Resolution:
* Handle and resolve more complex incidents that require advanced technical expertise.
* Collaborate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve critical issues promptly.
Factory Tech Leadership:
* Take an active role in the IT systems which impact factory operations; ensuring that production systems and equipment are always functioning correctly.
* Address any IT-related issues that may impact factory productivity and efficiency.
Event Management:
* Manage IT support for the delivery of internal and external events, including setup, and integration of new and existing technology.
* Ensure smooth IT operations during events and provide on-site support as needed.
Application Development:
* Active role in the development and implementation of new applications.
* Ensure that new and existing applications meet business requirements and are integrated seamlessly into the IT environment.
Project Management:
* Lead and manage small IT projects at the site.
* Coordinate with IT teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
* Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, timelines, and status reports.
Training and Engagement:
* Conduct training sessions for end-users on IT systems, applications, and best practices.
* Proactively engage with end-users to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.
Collaboration and Communication:
* Work closely with site management and other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.
* Maintain an excellent working relationship with the Service Integrator and infrastructure service providers.
* Collaborate with other IT teams to share knowledge and best practices.
* Communicate effectively with end-users, providing clear and concise information and updates on IT-related matters.
Documentation and Reporting:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.
