Property Manager & Estate Administrator Fowler Fortescue is an independent practice of chartered surveyors specialising in rural estate management. Our clients own land-based businesses including traditional estates and farming businesses, as well as estates with a variety of diversified income streams such as hospitality, renewable energy, property development and mineral extraction. We are looking for a Property Manager & Estate Administrator to provide support to our highly professional Directors and Land Agents. The role involves property management for multiple estates; working on residential, agricultural and commercial property as well as bespoke administration tasks and projects for individual estate owners. The key responsibilities for this role would include: • Ongoing liaison with tenants in residential, agricultural and commercial properties • Effective use of property management software and diligent compliance record keeping • Organisation of property repairs and maintenance with relevant contractors • Property lettings: prepare particulars, handle enquiries, arrange and conduct viewings and agree terms. • Preparation of tenancy agreements and related documentation • Administration of scheduled rent reviews for existing tenants • Maintaining property compliance and Health & Safety records • Liaison with estate staff such as farm managers, gamekeepers, security, maintenance, house staff and bookkeepers. The successful candidate will have a positive and flexible approach with a “can-do” attitude, possess a level head under pressure and be able to prioritise a varied and busy workload. The successful applicant would possess the following: • Proven administrative skills and experience • Excellent organisational skills and a high attention to detail • Strong IT skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel • Ability to be proactive, to prioritise tasks effectively and work independently • Flexibility and a collaborative working attitude • Willingness to learn and undertake training as required • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Maturity, especially regarding confidentiality and the handling of sensitive situations • Experience of property management and letting would be ideal, but not essential • Own vehicle.
