An energetic international law firm with an inclusive culture and innovative mindset seeks an additional planning specialist to join its highly regarded planning team on a part-time basis - 2 days a week. Ideal lawyers will have a minimum of 5 years PQE (to senior) and will be seeking a part-time opportunity. You can be aligned to the Leeds office or work remotely, with occasional visits to the London office.
Your role will include providing strategic and tactical advice on securing planning permission, drafting and negotiating statutory agreements, undertaking due diligence in relation to the planning aspects of real estate, funding, and corporate transactions. Advising on special protection areas, Assets of Community Value, and Village Greens. You will be involved with auditing planning application documents and committee reports to assist clients with risk management, appeals, judicial review, and enforcement. Your work will also cover highways advice.
The successful individual will have:
* A legal qualification with 5+ years post admission experience gained within a planning team.
* Knowledge of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
* Experience of planning agreements.
* Experience of highway agreements.
* Ability to handle enquiries/examinations and judicial reviews relating to planning matters.
* Knowledge and experience of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA).
