Job Description
As an Electrical Shift Technician, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Attending to breakdowns throughout the shift, ensuring plant downtime is minimized.
2. Completing all PMs allocated and providing feedback to the engineering planner.
3. Following the correct escalation process in the event of an out-of-hours problem.
4. Collaborating with the Lead Engineer to follow up on problems and develop solutions.
5. Ensuring safe work practices for yourself and others, and making equipment safe for use.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Electrical Shift Technician should have:
* A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience and at least an ONC in Electrical/Control Engineering Discipline.
* Full familiarity with all three aspects of 3 phase, single phase motor controls, and inverter speed control.
* An excellent understanding of fault finding.
* Working knowledge of PLCs is essential.
* Instrumentation experience with process flow, pressure, and temperature measurements is advantageous.
