Job Description:
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
This is a fixed term position of 12 months until 25.04.26.
The shift pattern for this position is Mon-Fri in discussion with service.
(Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.)
The Department:
Glasgow City Youth Health Service is a holistic, early intervention and prevention service for young people aged 12-19 years. The service offers support with a wide range of health and wellbeing issues including mental health, sexual health, risk-taking behaviour, relationships and employability. The service team is multi-disciplinary, incorporating Nurses, GPs, Business Support staff, Counsellors, Multiple Risk Workers and a Youth Employability Coach. The Youth Health Service is available in the evenings, at 9 venues across Glasgow City, with 3 in the North East, North West and South localities.
The Role:
The Youth Health Service are looking for a Senior Communications Officer to manage their internal and external communications. The key responsibilities of the post holder will be:
* Supporting the Digital Communications Officer as their line manager
* Influencing and implementing a communication strategy for the Youth Health Service
* Reviewing service communication activity in response to new developments
* Engagement with service users, including young people and their families. Analysis of feedback to recommend service improvements
* Overall responsibility for Youth Health Service Social Media accounts and webpages
* Designing and developing specific projects to engage with target audiences
Hours of Work:
20.72 hours per week, with a working pattern agreeable to the service and the successful candidate. The majority of working time will be during the day, with occasional requirement to work in the evenings to visit services or attend events.
