As the Business Development Manager - UK, you will identify new sales opportunities within the UK market and the Third-Party Logistics sector. Working closely with the Sales Manager, you will develop and implement strategic sales initiatives to unlock the substantial growth potential in both areas.
In this role, you will drive lead generation by leveraging a consultative, solutions-based sales approach and deep market insights. Utilizing CRM systems and market segmentation tools, you will efficiently identify and develop opportunities. Once an opportunity reaches the stage for detailed solution planning and commercial negotiation, you will seamlessly transition it to the Sales Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a market segmentation strategy to identify key opportunities and target sectors.
* Analyse and evaluate Third-Party Logistics (3PL) organizations, focusing on performance metrics, automation capabilities, and existing client portfolios.
* Create and execute stakeholder engagement plans for identified companies, collaborating with the Element Logic team to drive successful engagement strategies.
* Qualify leads and support strategic sales alignment, including go/no-go decision-making processes.
* Build and nurture profitable customer relationships, ensuring long-term business growth.
* Prepare and present budget proposals to customers, effectively communicating value-driven solutions.
* Plan and coordinate industry exhibitions, conferences, and events for the UK and Third-Party Logistics sector to enhance brand visibility and networking opportunities.
Desired experience:
* Degree in business administration, industrial engineering or comparable qualification combined with a strategic and entrepreneurial way of thinking and acting.
* Ideally at least five years of professional experience in B2B direct sales in the field of intralogistics, logistics automation, conveyor technology, AGV/AMR or capital goods requiring explanation in mechanical engineering.
* Professional experience in an international corporate environment is an advantage.
* Good basic technical understanding in the disciplines of mechanics, electrics and automation.
* Proven success in building sustainable customer relationships and acquiring new customers.
* Strong analytical skills and used to handling complex data.
* Good knowledge of material flow with experience in project realisation.
