About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Line Leader to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career and join a global business with a £2 billion+ turnover.
As a Line Leader, you will lead, manage, motivate, and organize the production line to ensure daily production targets are achieved and orders are fully satisfied to the highest quality standards. Shifts: 4 on 4 off, 7pm - 7am
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Lead, motivate, and organize an individual production line to meet daily production targets (efficiency & yield) and ensure customer orders are fulfilled with the highest quality standards.
2. Ensure adherence to company policies, laws, and regulations related to Food Hygiene and Health & Safety.
3. Ensure all finished products meet customer specifications and are released positively as required.
4. Be accountable for product quality, making quality everyone's responsibility.
5. Complete all daily checks and documentation accurately and promptly, including line start-up checks, handovers, H&S, and Fire Register.
6. Promote a culture focused on Health & Safety and quality; monitor the work area to maintain a safe and clean environment.
7. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing detailed handovers as needed.
8. Optimize the use of company resources and adhere to policies and procedures.
9. Deputize for the Shift Operation Leader when necessary.
10. Follow the 5S process and seek continuous improvement actions.
11. Monitor and record weights of finished products, waste, and other metrics, ensuring conformity to procedures.
12. Liaise with the packaging team to ensure labels and packaging are ready and correct, avoiding downtime.
13. Verify products against the matrix to ensure packaging, labels, and information are accurate.
What are we looking for?
* Proven experience in a fast-moving production environment, preferably in produce.
* Experience leading a small team.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
* Practical skills with the ability to work quickly and methodically.
* Excellent team-working skills.
* Awareness of Health and Safety regulations.
* Willingness to work flexibly.
