GCH focus on the deployment of electrolytic hydrogen projects as a key part of the global energy transition and de-carbonisation strategy.
The business works closely with sister companies through the planning, permitting/licensing, engineering and design and construction of green hydrogen projects.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Designer to join our engineering team to support the design and delivery of our green hydrogen projects as they move through Pre-FEED, FEED and detailed design into delivery.
The Role: Develop multi-discipline engineering drawings for green hydrogen projects, including PFDs, P&IDs, Plot Plans/Layouts, Isometrics, Block Diagrams, Single Line Diagrams, Cable Drawings, using AutoCAD.
Read and interpret engineering drawings/sketches produced by engineers, providing feedback and identifying improvements.
Develop new engineering designs/drawings based on requirements/sketches outlined by engineers.
Check that drawings meet specified quality/technical standards.
Develop & maintain standard drawing templates.
Interface closely with engineers/designers, to ensure designs meet project requirements.
Deliver high quality drawings in line with project schedules.
Manage version control and keep accurate revision records.
The ideal Candidate will have: Experience in using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Plant 3D to produce engineering drawings.
Experience in designing process plant and I&C systems for industrial projects and development of process/I&C drawings for engineering projects.
Experience in both 2D drawing development and 3D modelling of plant.
Experience in electrical design and electrical drawings preferred, but not essential Familiarity with industry standards for drawing development e.g.
BS ISO 15519/14617.
Familiarity with relevant HSE legislation e.g.
PE(S)R, PSSR, DSEAR Excellent verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with engineers/designers.
Good attention to detail.
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
Either degree or college qualified, or relevant apprenticeship.
