We are seeking an experienced Liquid Scientist to join our team at SRG in Bishops Stortford. As a key member of our innovation team, you will be responsible for creating innovative product and technical solutions that drive organic growth and build shareholder value.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing technical projects, with a deep understanding of formulation experiment design relating to the food and beverage industry.
Responsibilities:
* Leverage your expertise to develop 5-7 products/year and/or the highest business priority projects.
* Consistently create exceptional liquids that meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Design learning plans and interpret consumer/sensory learnings to deliver optimal liquid solutions within cost targets.
* Formulate creatively and balance commercialisation requirements to ensure feasibility.
* Stay up-to-date with new ingredients and methods to enhance outputs and share information with fellow developers.
* Collaborate with supply teams to ensure quality execution from concept to commercialisation.
* Support sales teams with compelling concepts, consumer insights, samples, and technical information.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Food Science, or related discipline required. Additional certifications, such as a Master's degree, are preferred but not mandatory.
* Minimum 5 years of relevant project and/or research experience in the food or beverage industry, including doctoral or post-doctoral research. Proven track record of managing technical projects through to execution.
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
