Position Summary Techbuyer Ltd (inc Techbuyer SARL, Techbuyer GmbH, Techbuyer Aus Pty Ltd) have been through a period of change and consolidation throughout the last 24 months. These changes have now resulted in the business collectively looking at efficiencies and improvements across all areas. This has been formally branded as “1% improvements” which will remain as a company dictate and strap line moving forward. With the now ever emerging technologies around AI, Automation, Warehouse Management Systems, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics plus others, Techbuyer needs to embrace these potential solutions, to look at efficiencies, automation and software with the aim to ultimately drive growth via working smarter not just harder. Techbuyer’s growth needs to come from doing more with less, utilising our people, facilities and systems more effectively to drive innovation and efficiencies. Utilising technologies to do this to drive higher value sales, cost savings, data and system driven systems to enhance all areas of the business. Role & Responsibilities The role would initially be broken down into multiple phases as follows: 1) Identify exactly what Techbuyer does, mapping out processes and work-flows working alongside each head of department / SLT manager. 2) Investigating the market on all areas that could bring improvements to Techbuyer including WMS, AI, Robotics, Automation etc 3) Aligning phases 1 and 2 based on areas of improvement within Techbuyer taking an holistic view of the business to ensure any proposed changes, projects, technologies are not implemented in isolation. 4) Manage change and projects to deliver efficiencies and improvements. Key Areas: · Evaluate existing (AS IS) business processes, workflows, and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. · Use data analysis, performance metrics assessment, and stakeholder interviews to gather insights and understand business needs. · Develop and implement improvement plans, strategies, and initiatives to streamline operations and optimize productivity. · Identify and remove bottlenecks, streamline workflows and ensure continuous improvements via the use of technology and systems. · Collaborate with management and teams to communicate improvement goals, providing both guidance and helping with change management efforts. · Monitor and assess the impact of implemented changes, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular progress reports. · Lead training sessions or workshops to educate staff on new processes and ensure smooth adoption of changes. · Develop and implement automated solutions, workflows, working with Techbuyer’s Development and BI teams to ensure accurate data driven decisions are made. · Fully understand industry trends and technologies. · Become an advocate for these technologies and act as Techbuyer’s representative at industry events and meetings. · Build strategic relationships with select partners and vendors to ensure a range of solutions are available to Techbuyer. · Drive and manage change across the business in line with agreed KPIs. You will take ownership from start to finish – from analysis and idea development to implementation and follow-up. The role will work closely with all departments, with specific working relationships with I&O, Development, Quality and the SLT, being an executing force in driving improvement projects. The above is by no means an exhaustive list. As this is a new role for Techbuyer the role could considerably evolve and extend as things develop. What is expected To apply for this role you don’t need to be an industry, AI, automation or technology expert. The most important aspect to success is being a visionary but a realist, to be able to effectively establish where improvements can be made whilst maintaining or enhancing Techbuyer’s profitability. To be able to see where AI, automation and technologies, and ultimately change, can bring value and be able to communication and present this effectively to stake holders at all levels. The ability to build strategic, trusted relationships, both internally and externally, whilst having a solid grounding in business, best business practice and business planning whilst holding an exemplary record in professionalism would be key. Have a demonstrable track record in implementing change and creating improvements within an historic or current role would be highly desirable. The key attribute for success is a desire for change, to be relentless at looking for improvements and finding technologies and solutions, both internally and externally, that will ultimately future proof Techbuyer, whilst enhancing profits and developing efficiencies across the business.
