The Opportunity As a result of our continuing success, we are experiencing rapid and extensive growth in all business sectors and we are looking to recruit a Project Co-ordinator to join our Design team supporting a variety of projects. Based at our Head Office, Blackburn. The successful candidate will be supporting the Design team by assisting with the delivery of design packages on all projects. With the potential of developing your skillset to become a Design Manager within a two-year timescale, this is a fantastic opportunity if you are driven and would like to develop your career with Vital Energi. What you will be doing: Assist the Project Leader and/or Design Manager in the management of the design process using commercial, contractual, programme / time awareness and technical expertise. Assist in the identification, scoping and appointment of external consultants and contractors needed for successful project delivery. Once appointed, manage their design delivery to the agreed quality, maintaining pace with project timescales. Assist in the Town and Country Planning processes. Assist in planning, chairing and recording meetings. Minuting key progress and decisions, recording actions required proactively pursuing and enabling the design process to reach a conclusion. Assisting the design team to produce information maintaining pace with project timescales. Eliminate or reduce health and safety risks in the design. Eliminate or reduce financial risks during construction process. Operate in accordance with Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems and other agreed procedures. Maintain good relations with internal colleagues, installation and project teams. Assist in liaising with clients on work related issues. Support the input of CDM detail within the company’s processes and legislation. Who we are looking for: Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to develop close working relationships. Excellent communication and people skills Ideally have a Bachelors/ master’s degree in an engineering discipline or Construction Management or Architecture. A can-do attitude and a flare for innovation.
