Location: Birmingham
Salary: £28,000.00 - £31,000.00 pa
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 08:00am - 17:30pm plus 1 Saturday morning a month
My client, a commercial vehicle workshop, is looking for a versatile, creative, and ambitious Administrator for their site in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have service advisor/administrator and Parts Advisor experience, having dealt with all workshop admin, transport admin, or fleet admin.
Reporting directly to the Depot Manager or Service Manager, the Workshop Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and customer service for the workshop. The list of duties is subject to change, and on occasions, you may be required to carry out other duties due to business needs.
Responsibilities:
* Input and create work orders on the system
* Dealing with parts ordering and parts issuing
* Allocate work to mechanics on a daily basis
* Greeting customers
* Issue purchase orders to suppliers
* Deal with reported defects and arrange attendance for breakdown calls
* Goods receipt and close purchase orders
* Input labour hours and description of work
* Complete work orders and close jobs
* Handling of incoming telephone calls
* Arrange quotes for repairs
* Obtain purchase orders for recharges
* General depot administration
* Obtain and collate recharge information
* Planning of service inspections and MOTs
* Workshop filing
* Control flow and process of all WIP
* Health and Safety compliance
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a dealership or fleet/workshop/transport environment, dealing with vehicle advising and booking vehicles in for repair and maintenance.
