The Role
Join a prestigious law firm recognised for delivering exceptional legal advice to both businesses and individuals. As the firm continues to grow and expand its services they are seeking an experienced Costs Lawyer to manage a caseload with a focus on Personal Injury and Medical Negligence cases, working alongside a team of cost experts to deliver exceptional results.
You will be responsible for preparing inter parties bills of costs in both traditional and electronic formats, as well as drafting cost budgets and estimates for Pre-Trial questionnaires. You will also conduct risk assessments, prepare Points in Reply, and manage the complete cost recovery process. Furthermore you will assist with Precedent R and T revisions and offer expert guidance on all cost-related matters
Additionally, you’ll collaborate with internal teams, deliver training, and stay updated on relevant case law. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your expertise while contributing to the firm's growth.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experienced Costs Lawyer with a proven ability to manage a caseload independently
* Comprehensive knowledge of costs law and the Civil Procedure Rules
* Strong track record in handling high-value costs cases
* Skilled in drafting and managing cost budgets
* Able to meet deadlines, prioritise effectively, and manage a varied caseload
* Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team
* Strong legal insight and leadership skills, with a keen eye for detail
* Excellent organisational, time-management, communication, and interpersonal abilities
