Work Schedule: Various shifts based on the needs of the restaurant. Will schedule around your academic commitments.
Position Summary: Students will work at assigned stations in the Lottie Dining Hall to produce and serve menu items in a timely and attractive manner. Weekend shifts may be required.
Experience Required: Food Service or Catering background is helpful.
Skills, Characteristics Required for Position: Positive attitude, self-motivated, flexible and able to take direction. Able to work well with others, work independently of supervision, and have excellent customer service and communication skills.
Dress Code Requirements: Clean and neat appearance at all times. Uniform: jeans, black shirt, closed toe shoes with socks, and hat with nametag. Hair must be tied back if long enough to touch shoulders. Only studs may be worn if ears are pierced. No sweatpants, shorts, capris, open toe or heeled shoes, hoops/dangling earrings, facial piercings, necklaces, bracelets, or other jewelry.
Special Working Conditions: Must be able to lift 30 lbs using proper lifting technique. Must be able to work day, evening, and weekends. Must be able to perform all essential job functions, which require prolonged standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and walking on hard surfaces.
Primary Duties:
1. Providing Dining and Catering services to our guests.
2. Present and serve menu items in a timely and attractive manner.
3. Interact with customers and team members with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
4. Keep all stations/areas stocked and clean.
5. Aid coworkers at other stations as much as possible if your station/area is slow.
6. Stay occupied by stocking, cleaning, or prepping in the kitchen.
7. Maintain consistent & reliable attendance.
Secondary Duties:
1. Cleaning equipment and facilities as directed.
2. Other duties as assigned.
