HR Advisor
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum

This role is based at our Head Office in Dunnington, York.

What you can do for us:
1. Ensure sufficient knowledge of industry best practices and legislation to ensure initiatives and policies comply with legislation and support and build on organisational wide people capabilities.
2. Provide day-to-day support to line managers and employees, demonstrating sound legal and best practice ER advice.
3. Support the development of line managers in terms of ER knowledge, policy and processes, as and when required.
4. Ensure that all employee relations issues including Disciplinaries, Grievances and Capability are handled in a timely manner and in line with legislation and policies, with minimum risk to the business.
5. Manage HRIS system and provide coaching to line managers to ensure the system is up to date.
6. Work in partnership with the management teams, regularly review structures to ensure they are fit for purpose and provide sufficient flexibility should the business need to respond quickly in each circumstance.
7. Support recruitment campaigns at all levels, assisting line managers in using a robust process, to select the right people for the right job.
8. Minimise resourcing costs through providing support to managers in attracting and retaining talent, minimising the use recruitment agencies.
9. Facilitate corporate induction and ensure all new employees are inducted and on boarded effectively and efficiently.
10. Work in partnership with Line Managers to raise awareness of good practice, available tools and techniques that will support them in building high performing teams.
11. Support the People Manager / Director in the design and delivery of bespoke workshops and events in line with business needs.
12. Maintain and assist in Performance Management, including appropriate documentation and ensuring procedural fairness.
13. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of succession planning.
14. Support line managers in the process of managing employee performance, providing guidance on informal and formal approaches.
15. Work closely with the Regional Managers, building a deep understanding of their business strategy, plans and operations to facilitate development of the People strategy.
16. Apply change management principles to any decisions within functional area that may impact upon people.
17. Deliver projects and objectives focused on delivering the People Plan.
You’ll need:
* Working knowledge of Employee Relations and current Employment Law
* Change management: restructuring & reorganization
* Performance management and development planning
Nice to have:
* CIPD Qualified to Level 5
* Experience with HRIS systems and Applicant Tracking Systems
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience of HR principles and their application.
