* Provide comprehensive support in managing the financial and operational aspects of pharmacy clinical trials
* Assist in the monitoring and achievement of our key performance targets and service levels

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Evidence of good general level of education required with proven ability to successfully undertake complex training.
* NVQ2 Pharmacy Services or equivalent
* Educated to A-level or equivalent/higher
* Fundamentals of Clinical Research for Investigational Medicinal Product Management (IMP) (or other Good Clinical Practice IMP module)
* Degree
* ITQ level 2 or above, or relevant finance/accounting/computing qualification
Experience
* Recent NHS hospital pharmacy work experience
* Experience of working in clinical trials or other research environment
* Experience of working in a financial environment
* Experience working in collaboration with multidisciplinary staff to deliver service improvement
* Evidence of working within a team and being an active team player
* Experience of supervising and training staff
* Experience of problem solving, development of practical solutions and implementation of change
* Experience of working in other areas of the NHS
* Experience of working with medical records
* Previous experience of financial ledger / accounts payable systems
* Team leadership skills
Knowledge
* Sound knowledge of pharmacy clinical trial procedures.
* Knowledge of basic accounting procedure
* Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act
* Awareness of NHS Finance issues
* Knowledge of NIHR costing templates
* Clear understanding and practical application of basic accounting concepts and techniques and can communicate them to others (including non-finance staff)
* Knowledge of Oracle

* Good interpersonal skills

* Excellent attention to detail
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills to problem solve and find solutions.
* Excellent IT skills - must be competent at MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams
