Location: Cheshire, England (site-based) Salary: Guide of £45,000 bonus potential Standards don’t take a day off. Well actually, that’s not true – this is one of those rare food companies that shuts down at Christmas. Like that idea? Well, next year, if you’re the new Quality Assurance Manager, then you’ll have a good chunk of time off to look forward to. This is a producer in the food industry that’s on the up. With a team that’s doubled in size in the past 5 years, an expanding customer base both in the UK and overseas, as well as some big new projects in the pipeline, 2025 is looking like an exciting year. In this position, you’ll manage a small team, whilst leading BRCGS audit standards, HACCP/VACCP/TACCP and all food safety projects. You’ll keep quality risk assessments updated, manage onsite allergens, work with the Production Manager in site compliance checks and conduct supplier audits. The audits range from Somerset to Sweden – but expect about 6 or 7 trips per year. This isn’t a business that gets many complaints, but if any arise, you’ll need to deal with them professionally – that means being a strong communicator who can take unexpected scenarios in your stride. We’ll need to see at least 5 years’ Quality experience within a food manufacturing environment, a minimum of level 3 HACCP, a strong understanding of QMS and experience of relevant GFSI standards.
