We are looking for a Room Attendant to
join our family on a full time basis. We are looking for someone with previous experience as a room attendant / cleaner with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail who is able to work independently. This position reports to the Head Housekeeper.
Location: 100 Princes Street, Edinburgh
Employment Type: Full-time
Working Pattern: Shift work (5 days on, 2 days
off) for this position we are recruiting for a day cover and and evening cover.
Salary: £25,397 per annum + service charge

100 Princes Street is our first hotel in Scotland and is home to 25 iconic guest rooms and five suites. Scottish artisan weaver, Araminta Campbell, was commissioned to create five bespoke tartans for the hotel, that adorn the walls of every bedroom and suite. A number of bedrooms enjoy stunning views across Princes Street Gardens towards Edinburgh Castle. All guest rooms are equipped with every mod-con, including charging points for a variety of devices. The Wallace is our all-day lounge, dining room, well-stocked bar, library and tasting room, guests can dine on delicious hearty fare, made using the freshest local produce while sipping on a single malt or artisan gin, or relax and enjoy traditional afternoon tea while gazing at Edinburgh Castle.
Key
Responsibilities of a Room Attendant:
* Ensuring all guest beds are made
to the highest standards of comfort and cleanliness.
* Vacuuming carpets and floors in
guest rooms, corridors, and public spaces to maintain a clean and tidy
environment.
* Wiping down and disinfecting all
surfaces in guest rooms, including tables, countertops, and furniture, to
maintain hygiene standards.
* Thoroughly cleaning bathrooms,
including toilets, showers, sinks, and mirrors, and replenishing necessary
toiletries like soaps, shampoos, and towels.
* Identifying and reporting any
maintenance issues in guest rooms, including faulty appliances or damaged
fixtures.
* Ensuring that all cleaning
supplies and amenities are well-stocked and in good condition, and requesting
replenishments as needed.
* Responding to any guest requests
regarding additional services or amenities with efficiency and a friendly
attitude.
What are we looking for?
* Previous experience as a Room
Attendant or Cleaner, preferably in a luxury hotel or similar environment, is
essential.
* A strong attention to detail and
the ability to spot even the smallest areas that need cleaning or organizing.
* The ability to work
independently, prioritize tasks, and stay organized without direct supervision.
* Excellent communication skills,
with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with guests and
colleagues.
* Ability to manage time
effectively and complete tasks within required timeframes without compromising
on quality.
* A positive attitude with the
ability to collaborate with colleagues and work effectively in a team
environment.
