Qualifications and training
Ø Degree or equivalent in a related subject

Ø Evidence of recent and appropriate involvement in professional development
Experience
Ø Relevant teaching experience in an 11-16 school
Ø Experience in the process of raising standards, target setting and evaluating progress against targets
Skills and knowledge
Ø Knowledge of current curriculum issues
Ø A skilled classroom practitioner
Ø An ability to articulate high expectations
Ø A high level of personal organisation
Ø Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ø A knowledge of good practice in Safeguarding
