As the Assistant Management Accountant, you will support the preparation of accurate Management Accounts for the Finance Director. These accounts should provide insights into the financial performance of each department, to aid in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and consolidate monthly Management Accounts (P&L and Balance Sheets) to enhance performance tracking and support management decision-making
* Support the creation of the annual budgeting process and assist with operational reviews.
* Respond to inquiries or concerns about the Management Accounts from Business Managers and the Finance Director.
* Foster strong relationships with wider business and Finance teams to ensure division expenditures remain within budget, while addressing any discrepancies.
* Cultivate close working relationships with department managers to gain a deeper understanding of departmental spending.
Skills/ Experience
* Part-qualified in CIMA/ACCA/AAT
* Strong ability to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy with financial and statistical data.
* Skilled in presenting clear reports and communicating effectively, both in writing and verbally.
* Extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of Management Accounts.
