JOB- HSE Coordinator
LOCATION- Rochester
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £30,000 to £35,000 per annum (plus benefits)
Premier Engineering is looking for an experienced HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) Coordinator to join our client’s team in Rochester. Our client operates within the manufacturing sector and is looking for a dedicated professional to ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance across their operations.
The HSE Coordinator will ideally have the following attributes:
* Proven experience in a similar HSE role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
* Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH Certificate, IOSH, or equivalent in Health & Safety Management
* Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation and best practices
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to conduct risk assessments and accident investigations
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and health and safety reporting tools
The HSE Coordinator role will involve:
* Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies
* Conducting regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
* Identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions
* Investigating accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and reporting findings
* Developing and delivering HSE training programs for staff
* Collaborating with management to implement health and safety initiatives
* Maintaining HSE records and preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders
* Promoting a positive safety culture across the organization
