This post is an exciting opportunity to join the Wakefield 0-19 Team as an Emotional Health & Resilience practitioner, supporting children and young people with mental health & emotional wellbeing difficulties.
The Emotional Health and Resilience team are integrated within the Wakefield Growing Healthy 0-19 Service providing advice, consultation, and support for children and families to enable them to address the mental health and emotional needs of children and young people.
If you are an enthusiastic team player who has experience and understanding of working with children and young people who are struggling with emotional health difficulties and you are passionate to make a difference for the children, young people, and families in Wakefield then we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with children and young people to develop strategies to ensure the emotional and wellbeing needs of the whole school population are identified and prioritised.
* Facilitate effective collaboration between all relevant agencies and services to identify and implement the best approach to meet the mental health and emotional wellbeing needs of children and young people.
* Be professionally accountable and responsible for the direct care of children and young people, including assessment and provision of time-limited therapeutic interventions, in schools, family homes, and community settings. Promoting at all times a positive image of children and young people with emotional and mental health needs.
