Exciting opportunity for a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week.
The East Kent Urgent Treatment Centre Alliance is an innovative collaboration between five experienced providers of Urgent Care in East Kent, delivering a unique collaboration that puts the patient and service at the heart of our operations.
Since September 2020, we have been commissioned to provide four Urgent Treatment Centres at:
* William Harvey Hospital, Ashford
* Kent & Canterbury Hospital, Canterbury
* Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital, Margate
* Buckland Hospital, Dover

Main duties of the job
The UTC operates as a 365-day-a-year service.
The role involves working 37.5 hours per week with 12-hour shifts from 07:45 to 20:15, allocated on a rota basis.
* Greet all patients and visitors on arrival to the Urgent Treatment Centre.
* Ensure all patients are booked in correctly and in a timely manner.
* Highlight any discrepancies in data or poor quality issues.
* Answer the telephone, adhering to the Trust telephone standard.
* Communicate and liaise with other members of the Hospital and Alliance.
* Assist senior staff with ad-hoc projects as required.

Person specification
Qualifications and Training
* Good level of maths and English.
* NVQ level 2.
Skills and Experience
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent keyboard skills.
* Understanding of the role and the NHS.
* Advanced awareness of computer systems.
* Experience in a receptionist/administration/ward clerk role.

Additional Information
The ability to converse easily and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for all customer-facing roles. Most positions require a Disclosure and Barring check and will be exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Posts working regularly or unsupervised with children or vulnerable adults require an enhanced check.
