We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Systems Manager, which incorporates the Product Owner / Manager responsibilities for leading the Project Controls Office technical team. You will work to define and implement a desirable, feasible, practical, and sustainable Project Controls and Planning solution regarding SAP, P6, and Dassian for Electronics UK.
You will also interface on a technical basis across all functions and leadership levels involved in the Business Unit and project team structures to ensure the overall system performance and strategy are optimized. The Project Controls solution will consider the needs of functions, scheduling, forward load planning, prioritization, and partner coordination, underpinning project and business performance reporting.
The role involves a mix of home-based and onsite work (UK-wide team, so this can be at your local Leonardo site).
1. Provide subject matter expertise across the business for Planning, Scheduling, and Project Controls.
2. Make impactful recommendations to enhance effectiveness and improve ways of working.
3. Use specialist knowledge to generate insights, new ideas, and approaches for system and performance improvements.
4. Define and develop the Project Controls Product Roadmap.
5. Stay informed of external best practices and developments in planning, scheduling, risk, and project controls to identify risks and opportunities.
6. Manage, motivate, and develop the project controls office technical team to contribute effectively to business objectives.
7. Lead, coach, and influence others within the business, advocating for the deployment of solutions.
8. Resolve complex relationship and functional issues.
9. Maintain and develop your professional knowledge base and networks.
10. Manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
11. Develop KPIs, metrics, and measures to inform decision-making regarding schedule and project performance.
12. Apply extensive knowledge of project management, scheduling, planning, and control techniques, with industry experience.
13. Understand technical complexities and facilitate trade-offs between process changes and IT-based solutions.
14. Demonstrate proven change management skills, especially in uncertain environments.
15. Proactively address potential issues to ensure system performance.
16. Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team to achieve results.
17. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, influencing decisions.
18. Apply best practices from various industries to planning and scheduling.
19. Collaborate with stakeholders and negotiate support for solutions.
20. Experience in early-stage solution implementation in a similar role.
