Site Install Supervisor
The Company
An international engineering company that specializes in the design, manufacture, and installation of special purpose machinery.
The Role
This is a position that will require a flexible engineer. The role will include working away from home mainly throughout the U.K and Europe as needed. You will be overseeing the installation, servicing, and maintenance of the company's equipment. When not working on site, you will be at the company's manufacturing facility near Sandy, overseeing the pre-build.
The work will include the following:
1. Working on site at worldwide destinations in line with the travel policy.
2. Working at the UK assembly facility to ensure efficient system pre-build and preparation for site installation.
3. Supervising and coordinating mechanical installation teams to ensure equipment is installed correctly, to drawing and specification. This will involve hands-on assembly and welding at times.
4. Troubleshooting problems with newly installed lines/equipment, solving snagging issues.
5. Working to tight deadlines demonstrating an ability to work under pressure.
6. Following completion of installation, working with Project Engineers and Commissioning Engineers to complete Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and customer acceptance tests through to production support.
The Candidate
To apply for this role, you must have:
1. A good, solid electro-mechanical engineering background.
2. Experience with installation or overseeing installation of machinery.
3. Experience overseeing mechanical installation and factory pre-build.
4. Prepared to travel extensively.
5. Construction industry qualifications: CSCS card and SSSTS qualification or SSSTS safety passport - desirable.
As this role will involve work on customer's sites, construction sites, and within engineering manufacturing environments, certain qualifications will be required. Candidates already holding these qualifications, or similar qualifications, are likely to have the relevant experience for this role:
* Construction industry qualifications: CSCS card and SSSTS qualification.
* Safety Passport (SPA or similar).
* Food hygiene certificate (as a module of SPA, or similar).
* Licenses for Fork Lift Truck and MEWP.
