We are recruiting a passionate Teaching Assistant for a well-established independent SEN school near Taunton. This school provides a supportive and nurturing environment where students with autism can develop independence, gain qualifications and explore vocational pathways to employment.
Your role as a teaching assistant:
* Support Learning: Assist tutors in delivering engaging lessons, ensuring students stay focused and progress effectively
* Individualised Support: Work 1:1 or in small groups to meet students’ unique needs
* Encouraging Growth: Help students develop communication, independence and confidence in both academic and vocational subjects
* Behavioural support: Use positive behaviour support plans to create a safe and structured learning environment
* Enrichment Activities: Encourage participation in extracurricular and community-based experiences
