Parkside is a leading independent boys’ Prep School, with a thriving co-educational nursery provision, and about to embark on an exciting chapter of change as we welcome girls into our prep school from September 2025. Due to growing numbers, we are seeking to appoint an outstanding Nursery Practitioner to join our thriving Nursery. The role is offered on a term time only basis, 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday, however there is also the additional opportunity for work during our Holiday School. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in EYFS, and NVQ Level 3 is advantageous. You will be a motivated and empathetic practitioner, providing a hands-on, fun, creative and innovative learning for the children, bringing enthusiasm to every interaction with those in their care.
Parkside Nursery is the start of the educational and pastoral journey for boys and girls from the age of two, as they experience the firmest of foundations taught by experienced staff in a truly stunning setting. The Nursery is housed in a safe, secure building with its own enclosed playground areas, large spacious classrooms, a library and music and drama room. The children also have access to all the facilities at Parkside and use of the 45 acres of stunning grounds. The children in Nursery are taught by specialist teachers in forest school, French, swimming, sport and music as well as Nursery Practitioner.
Our team work together to a create a stimulating learning environment, where children are inspired by a variety of experiences both inside and outside the classroom, with a creative and practical timetable including a mixture of adult-led activities and child-initiated play. Our practitioners are responsible for ensuring progress of all children and closely monitor this against the EYFS Statutory and Non-Statutory Framework.
